Getting started
Create your account, add your MT5 account, and download the Ordex EA so you can start trading.
1. Create your Ordex account
Go to Get Started on the homepage and sign up with your email. Verify your email if prompted, then log in.
2. Add your MT5 account
From the dashboard, open Accounts and click Add account. Enter:
- Name — e.g. "My Demo"
- Server — your broker's MT5 server name
- Login — your MT5 account number
- Password — your MT5 password (stored encrypted)
After you submit, you'll be taken to the Setup page for that account. There you can copy the Webhook URL and Secret for TradingView, and see step-by-step instructions for the MT5 EA. You can also open Setup (TradingView & MT5) from any account card on the Accounts page.
3. Download and install the Ordex EA
- On the Accounts page, click Download EA for your account. You'll get a zip file.
- Unzip it. You should see
TradingViewSync.mq5(and possiblyTradingViewSync.ex5) plus a config file. - Copy the EA file(s) into your MT5 Data Folder → MQL5 → Experts. (In MT5: File → Open Data Folder to find it.)
- Copy the config file (
TradingViewSync_config.json) into MQL5 → Files (or Common → Files). - In MT5, go to Tools → Options → Expert Advisors. Turn on Allow automated trading. In Allow WebRequest for listed URL, add your Ordex app URL (e.g.
https://ordextrader.comorhttp://localhost:3000for local testing). - If you only have the
.mq5file, open it in MetaEditor (F4 in MT5) and press F7 to compile. - Attach TradingViewSync to any chart. It will use the config and your API key. Check the dashboard — your account status should show as connected.
4. Connect TradingView (optional)
To run trades from TradingView alerts, follow Connecting TradingView in the sidebar. You'll use your Webhook Secret and the webhook URL shown there.
